Yesterday we held another successful GPS Invitational, 50th Anniversary edition! :)

Thank you very, very, very much to everyone who volunteered. The meet cannot run without you, and I always recieve messages from the other teams' coaches & parents, including this year, of how much fun their kids had and how well run and organized the meet is. That ONLY happens because of all your support. Your support makes this meet the preeminent summer invitational in the Lehigh Valley and state. Sure, there "may be" some larger summer invitationals somewhere in NJ & PA that are run by leagues or large professional swimming organizations (USA LSCs, YMCA of USA, Speedo or TYR Invites), but none that are as well organized, as large, or have as much consistently good competition for 50 years that are hosted by relatively small and independent teams like ours.  

It's a home meet for us, so of course we have more kids show up than other teams. That gives us an advantage, but nontheless, we WON! We swam well and is something to be proud of. Plus, TRA and HCY did not just let us walk away with it. Even some teams that had very few swimmers brought some fast swimmers, just look at the dispersment of top 3 finishes across all the events.

This Upcoming Week:

• Tuesday: Away meet against Hackettstown - regular morning practice times, NOT home meet practice times, but normal practice times.
• Thursday: Home meet against HCY - This will determine if we win the league 3rd place trophy or come in 4th. HOME Meet practice times.
