GPS Invitational - 50th Anniversary, one of the longest running summer swimming invitationals in the state, if not the nation. Please hype it up and make reference to it on your social media pages.  

• Jobs and hospitality donations are open to sign up now!! :)

Parents - Beyond the food/drink items, timers & officials, there are items unique to the Invitational. We need:

• Tents, coolers, and tables (all listed on hospitality sign-ups). 
• Definitely put your family names on them. 
• Deliver them to the pool either during Friday at practice or Friday evening during pre-meet setup at 7:00 pm. 
• Parking attendants to direct other teams where to go.
• Gate assistants to help collect money at that main gate and prevent non-swimmers from entering the "swimmer/volunteer" gate.
• Meet Marshallers - It's not just our kids, but our coaches will need help directing all teams to the correct marshalling chair, then to the correct starting block.

Pre-Meet Setup - Friday, 7:00 pm @ Walter's Park

We definitely will NEED parents/swimmers to help setup. The Invitational is a large meet and we have to setup large tents, dozens of chairs, tables, caution tape, blocks, lane lines, flags, marshalling area for multiple teams, tall the night before.

PARENT SWIMMERS: There is a fun 30+ age group that can do a 50 Free. Please text/email if interested; same with our parent relay. They score team points for us and earn medals. :)

ONLY swimmers who declared "Attend" will be able to compete at this meet. 

• Entry Deadline: July 8th, 4:00 pm. 
• This is different than dual meets in which attendance declaration is mandatory. 
• The Invitational is swimmer choice and not mandatory. 
• Of course, the team still needs you, so attend if you can.
• $5 per event, relays & individual, that you will owe. 

Upcoming Practices

• Home Meet practice times on Tuesday and Thursday this week.
• Friday, 7/10: NO Developmental group, nor swim lessons on this day. The coaches have a mandatory luncheon they need to attend. 

Post Meet: Be prepared to take your tents and coolers back with you Saturday afternoon. When the meet is over at around 3:00 pm, those items just sit out by the shed until picked up.
