Hello everyone,

I just realized the option allowing swimmers to choose their events at the GPS Invitational was not open. It was previously, but I guess when I made changes it reset. Either way, it is OPEN now.

So, DEFINITELY go back into Swimtopia and CHOOSE your swimmer's individual events, or at least leave a note and let me know how many individual and/or relay events you want. 

The cost is $5/per event for each swimmer, so I need an indication of how many events you want to sign up for, individuals and relays. If you leave it blank, I WILL put your swimmer in the maximum # if possible, thus obligating to pay $30. If you prefer less, then I need to know. 

Also, updated job/volunteer sign-ups will be open tomorrow, Monday. If your swimmer is attending, someone in your family (does not necessarily need to be a parent) should be volunteering to help in some capacity. This is separate from the regular 2 dual meet requirement. As the host team who makes money on the meet, if other teams fail to bring enough of their own volunteers, then obviously we need to fill the gap as a last resort.

PARENT/COACH Events: Anyone interested in swimming in the 19-29 age group, or 30+ age group (just 1x50 Free (2 laps)), or being in our parent/coach relay, let me know by text or email, and I'll sign you up. These events score points for our team too, and helps us earn a team trophy and/or individual medals for you too. :) 

We rent a nice, clean, air conditioned bathroom trailer with 10 stalls, more than enough to handle the number of people in attendance. So, staying/volunteering is less taxing and actually quite comfortable during the 2-3 hours of each session. 

Finally, this is the 50th Anniversary we are hosting this meet. We are one of the longest running summer inviationals in the state, if not the nation. PLEASE feel free to promote it on social media by making mention of your excitement about your swimmer's participation in it. We need to promote this meet more on social media than we have in previous years.
