Occasionally when there are swim clinics held in our area, GPS coaches will pass along the info to our team. 

For relatively new competitive swimmers (1-2 summers) to very experienced swimmers who are looking for that extra edge in understanding how to swim faster, Fluid Mechanics is offering a swim clinic on May 31 at the Nazareth YMCA.

The focus is on Hydro-Dynamics. This aspect of stroke technique is critical to understanding the relationship between swimmers' bodies and the water. Actually, many principles of Hydro-Dynamics may seem counter intuitive to some swimmers. Therefore, gaining an understanding of how to manipulate water formations and pressure fields is critical to linking drills and training to faster swimming.

Your swimmers will hear GPS coaches say, "feel the water" during some drills in practice. What they are "feeling" for are those pressure fields.

As a result, attending this clinic can be valuable for swimmers at all levels.
