Hello,

We are considering expanding our Developmental Group to include one-on-one swim lessons for swimmers ages 5-12.

Swim evals are on Monday & Tuesday next week (5/12 & 5/13) and we often have kids who need lessons before they can join the Developmental Group. As a result, if you are interested in being an instructor, let me know early this week so we can see if it is feasible for us to do this. Please see the criteria below.

Unlike pure volunteers for the Dev. Grp., our instructors would be paid when providing one-on-one swim lessons. Basically, it breaks down like this:

• Developmental Group is the same as previous years:
  • Volunteers, Ages 13/Above
  • 11:30 - 12:00, Monday - Friday
  • Coaches directly supervise participants and volunteers.
  • Developmental Group volunteers are expected to show up as often as they can, but daily attendance/volunteering is not required either.
• Swim Lessons:
  • Get paid - possibly $20/hour, but that still needs to be determined and approved.
  • Ages 15/Above or assistant coaches
  • 11:30 - 12:00, Monday - Friday
  • When NOT scheduled for a swim lesson, instructors will volunteer with the Developmental Group. Obviously though, this depends on how many kids sign up for lessons, how many instructors we have available, and how many Dev. Grp. volunteers are there that day too. In other words, it is not an everyday commitment.
  • Coach Drake will schedule, provide guidance/training to our instructors, provide the curriculum, and participant advancement levels.
