PJSL Championship Meet Qualifying Times & Sign-Up, 2022

    Hello All,

The meet attendance declaration and individual event signups are now open for the PJSL Championship meet under "Meet/Events" on our website, gps.swimtopia.com. League dual meet records determine the league team champions, whereas the "PJSL Championship Meet" determines individual event champions in the league. There are no team points at this meet, but trophies, medals, and ribbons are awarded to the top 12 in each event.

As a result, swimmers may choose their own events they wish to compete in. So, signup your swimmer as you normally would for a dual meet (attending/not attending), but then also:

    1. Choose up to 3 individual events your swimmer qualified for.
    2. Leave a note of your event priorities, so if we need your swimmer in both relays I know which individual event to pull.

If I think a swimmer can do better in a different event other than what you chose, I'll contact you individually.

So, how do you know if your swimmer qualified?

Eligibility: Swimmers need to compete in at least four dual meets by the end of the season to be eligible to compete at champs. Once you do, you'll have event box options when you choose "Attending".

Qualifying Time: A swimmer must achieve a qualifying time either in a league dual meet, the GPS Invitational, or the George Shultz Last Chance Meet.

Where do you find the qualifying times? Three options -

    1. Look at the Meet Schedule: Go to the "Meet/Events" menu on our website, scroll down to "PJSL Championship" meet, click "Edit". Any events your swimmer qualified for, will be available to check a box next to it (unless you competed in less than four dual meets).
    2. Look under the "Inspiration" menu on our website, click on "Qualifying Times". Compare your swimmer's times achieved this season (which you can find either on your main account via website sign-in, or under "Swim History" in the mobile app) to the qualifying times listed.
    3. Download the attached PDF, and compare your swimmer's times to the qualifying times listed.

Listed qualifying times are in yards, indicated by a "Y", and by meters, indicated by a "S". Be sure to compare yards to yards, and meters to meters.

    Good luck!

    Coach Drake
